The left is but a few degrees warmer than the right in America. Not enough to make any real difference in the nation's common man state.

Both sides claim the moral heights.

I'm better than none and equal to all. Try it on for size. Worn long enough it will fit perfectly and you will better understand what's good for the common man because you will be living as one.

The basic idea of humility with one's peers is admirable. I suspect I've often come off as arrogant to you. But you have often come across to me as deliberately annoying. Something about my online persona has always provoked you, made you want to find something, anything, to throw at me. Do I remind you of some arrogant jerk who gave you a hard time in high school, or something?

There is no moral high ground on the I'm better than none and equal to all world and humility, an attribute of good moral fiber, would thrive there.
