For many months, translated clips of Fox News host Tucker Carlson have been making the rounds on Russian state television, delighting hosts, pundits, and experts with their pro-Russian slant. Some of the top propagandists even worried out loud that Carlson’s apparent pro-Kremlin bias might result in him being “marginalized” or silenced.

Behind the scenes, Carlson reportedly courted Kremlin intermediaries in his plight to secure an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. What might have been considered an extended audition could soon pay off—Putin’s mouthpieces in high places are now openly pushing for an interview with the controversial host. Appearing on the state TV show The Evening with Vladimir Soloviev on Wednesday, RT’s editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan practically begged anyone who can make it happen to go ahead and grant Carlson’s long-standing wish.

IMHO, I think it has something to do with being humble. Although I could be wrong with all opinions smelling the same.

I am not the target demographic, but that's not relevant.
Entertaining a bunch of ignoramus Americans invested in celebrity behavior who have little intelligence and less taste. Want to spend some time with yet another vacuuous American? Just go hang out on some celebrity worship forum. Or just get the lobotomy.

We should all know by now that the accumulation of massive wealth and massive notoriety has nothing to do with creativity or even intelligence. Donald Trump accumulated every penny of his wealth utilizing one skill that required little intelligence or creativity. Trump was able to find a pack of vicious shyster lawyers who are skilled at weaponizing the fucked up US legal system.

One of my opinions is that some opinions smell a lot worse than others.

Yep. The old saying goes...Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one and they all smell. Some considerably worse than others. In periods of gut wrenching self-evaluation, I cannot escape the fact that I have spent so much time on internet forums, where the ratio of fact to opinion presented is pretty horrifying.

On the other hand, as so accurately observed by Democritus...

“Nothing exists except atoms and empty space; everything else is opinion.”

When it comes to facts it's pretty difficult to identify them outside of fairly simple concepts such as..."It's raining outside" and "Generalisimo Francisco Franco is still dead."

As we've discussed, it's my opinion that you may be a bit excessive in your skepticism, for every day use. Although when you drill down enough, Democritus may be claiming more than he can prove. He thinks there are atoms and empty space, but he may be deceived. About all he can be sure of is Democritus. Even the existence of 'not Democritus' is not proven.

I think this is the primary point of your arguments. Your sense of smell being your moral superiority degree meter.

I heard our previous President praise Vlad for freeing a supressed Russian people and having a peacekeeping force deployed and ready to ensure their continued freedom. He also pointed out that NATO is no longer able to accomplish it's mission, as Putin has once again demonstrated. The somewhat scary thing to me is that he is the second worst President we've had since the GD hit and his take is fairly accurate.

FWIW, we have a one party government with two visible branches.
