Rush Limbaugh used to have a good percentage of liberals in his numbers, who listened to get an outrage fix. He trolled to keep them tuning in.

This time the Fed cannot do much bumping; debt is too high.

Trump should not hold any post in big government.

So what would be the wrong direction?

BS. When the Soviet Union collapsed, many influential national security figures and political scientists (most prominently Francis Fukuyama) referred to it as "the end of history" portending the worldwide spread of liberal democracies and free-market capitalism and the end point of humanity's sociocultural evolution and the final form of human governance. This attitude largely remained intact until 9/11 and was finally dashed with Putin's new imperial ambitions to reconstitute the Soviet Union.

Putin finally got the message that regime change was relentless.

OEF and OIF being excellent examples of the regime changes called for by finnbow's "the end of history." I'm pretty sure the "history" his experts were referencing didn't actually end. They were just calling it something different. Slight of hand so to speak.

So, he made his regime permanent through a variety of shady deals (his deal with Medvedev to hold his seat) and then his legislative coup to extend his rule thru 2036.

I don't understand why you're so enamored with this murderous kleptocrat who dashed his and other nation's hopes for democracy in favor of kleptocratic autocracy and spends his every waking hour trying to undermine western democracy because its relative success, wealth and civil/political rights expose the moribund political and economic system in his Russia.

Not really. Fukiyama's theory was that liberal democracy would ultimately lead to the end of despotic regimes through evolution, not that liberal democracies would overthrow despotic regimes through force of arms.
