How long before there is a copycat? Should the murderers of Ahmaud Arbery be acquitted the following protests will be ripe for some vigilante to claim he was threatened and only used gunfire in self defense.

This is what I suspect can happen from this episode. In states that is legal to open carry, self appointed vigilantes will be patrolling the streets around polling stations, of course they will be few and far between like Texas. Voters will stay home, lower turnout and the GOP wins every election where they can get away with this. This over and above all the voter suppression laws that have been enacted since Nov. 2020 in the name of 'voter fraud'.

2024 elections will become a charade or a joke, take your pick. Expect more MTG's and gunslinger Boberts elected to the House which will then become a circus.
