Color me dumbfounded

I thought I'd come here to see what you guys are saying about the biggest news story of the month and probably the century - the catastrophic pullout from Afghanistan. It is the main thing anyone is talking about.

Yet All of the latest posts on every subforum here are devoid of any mention of it, except for the thread I started a few minutes ago.

This tells me all I need to know. This whole site is a clown show. I'm outa here. You guys carry on with your ad-hom, deflection and projection. I'll stick with discussing with adults. I needed to see that to make a clean and permanent break

Enjoy your bubble.

I'm not remotely interested in people without real knowledge of the situation, its history and causes providing me with their self-serving hot-takes on Afghanistan.

If you really want to learn and understand what's happening there, here's a good take from someone in the know.

Trust me, the Insane Clown is well aware of the active discussion, and isn’t the least bit interested in learning anything that challenges his troll narrative. Trolls gonna do what trolls do.

Very good, clear account. Regarding the last line of it, I observed elsewhere that what we accomplished for 20 years investment was lots of politicians and officials avoiding having their careers sullied by 'loosing' Afghanistan.

Was there not the opportunity in around the 2003 time frame?
When Afghanistan was working out a new constitution and government. The Taliban we in a much weaken position and were begging to be included. Totally shut out of the discussion.

One must wonder if this was a lost chance at a peaceful solution....

Ex-national security director: Trump said Afghan military won't 'last two days' but made Taliban deal anyway

https://www.rawstory.com/john-ratcli...p-afghanistan/

Every politician in DC has known for years that pulling of of this unwinnable war was inevitable, but didn’t want to be accused of “losing the war”. Biden had the courage to just do it. Now, of course, the nazis, including little Stevie Miller and Fucker Carlson, are squawking about bringing the Afghans who helped our troops here. Sigh.

Here is a color picture for you. Can you identify the characters?
