Yesterday a group of Ft. Lauderdale parents shut down a school board meeting with demands for no masks in schools These are parents who are fighting on behalf of their kids so they don't have to wear a mask to school. Well it used to be called Fort Liquordale when we lived there and the name still fits.

I don't know why the question of mandating vaccines was such a big deal. We have mandated vaccines for many years. I had to provide a vaccination record for my children when they started school and went to summer camp. People have to have vaccinations when they travel. I have worked in places where employees have lots of public contact with vulnerable populations and those people had to have the flu vaccine every year.

There will always are those who will go to the extreme. In order to never having to admit they were wrong. Instead going to the max in arguing their stance, in a very apparent attempt to convince themselves again and again.

Much like the child arguing before school the need for a jacket. Would rather freeze and get a cold then admitting the parent was right........
