Also enjoyed and agreed with thoughts put down.

As enlightening, truthful and insightful the posting above is. The very people who need to read and comprehend fully. Will never see the facts as they are, rather believe in a absurd illogical argument of reality, the more laughable the better.

The cult will eat it up. Voracity in their acceptance of any lie as long as it reinforces the narrative of the cult.

Oh, I can be a a scathing critic in my understated, opposite-to-your-style way. But I'm a bit less inclined to take some things so seriously now. In light of other things.

You betcha...as should we all. But there's always that Israel thingy that puts me on the outs with most of my progressive brethren. Such is life, eh?

It takes decades to change a culture. You have to start working on the grandparents with things like allowing teachers to lead prayer in the classroom, adding "under God" to the pledge, the Red Scares of the 1950s and all that. 60-70 years later, you'll have the right wingers we have today, who think they're on a permanent holy mission to save America from..........their fellow Americans. Who see gay marriage, TGBTQ rights and such as unholy abominations, harbingers of doom that threaten to destroy America. Commies in every closet, as it were.

What's truly amusing is that these people distrust government and warn the rest of us that the government is trying to manipulate our minds when virtually everything they believe, all of this phony religiosity, flag waiving, "Christian Nation", America does no wrong, never lost a war hullabaloo was put there by.....the government.

A man once recently tried to convince me that the military, law enforcement and the federal government are all separate things. "One has nothing to do with the other.", he says. He doesn't see the connections. "The police exist to protect us from tyrannical government.", I was told.

Yeah, right.

Yeah, right.

Historically not the norm.....

Authorities law enforcement, military the likes were there to keep the rich and in those power protected. From the pitchforks and torches from getting them!

Upsetting the apple cart....

Change happens when extreme conditions are allow to go unchecked. To the boiling point that they can no longer be ignored. Human nature to put off and wait. Waiting for others to fix the issues. Then when it is to big to ignore any longer and way more complex to fix. Then will blame others for allowing it to happen.....

Dang, I almost misted up at their trials and tribulation.

Fecking overweight 'roided up peckerwoods cosplaying in their army surplus gear with their crappy plastic AR15s.

I've said for quite some time now that the GOP plays the long con better than anyone.
