Paying legal fees won't guarantee an acquittal and it's too late for a pardon. Besides, Donny's got his own legal bills coming to worry about.

^^ Good one and thanks for posting.

If this progresses as expected, this will have the unintended consequence of giving the GOP an exit plan that they did not know they needed. And a lot of the enablers like Moscow Mitch and spineless McCarthy will get a pass.

If this goes as hoped expect Donny's enablers and sycophants to hail him as a martyr. One popular theme will be "Oh he's being persecuted to stop the truth from coming out about the "stolen election". Expect Faux News, Newsmax and One America to become ipso facto part of the Narajana Nazi's defense team. Meanwhile with the head of the snake lopped off expect several new heads to appear. Expect Ron "What virus?" DeSantis to battle others for the title of "Head Snake".

Meanwhile, my money's still on...
