Members of the Republican Party are at a major turning point in their history.

Right now there are plenty of members who are not "Nazi's" to use a term broadly of the word to describe the faction now taking control. Yet by allowing the faction to gain control those who are just along for the ride. Thinking it will not be as bad or can control them.


Members of a party or followers of cult, no other way to say it. By allowing the cult to run the party they are lying to themselves in thinking they are clean of the "Nazi mark" history will definitely stain them with.


Once again not all republicans are nazi's it is just EVERY NAZI is a republican......


Much like if you were allow a practicing child molester into your origination and run it.........

Watching history (Nazi Germany) repeat itself. A bunch of citizens there were convinced by a few (at first) that the Nazi way was the best way.

A bunch of citizens were convinced of the idea that they needed to secede from the Union to preserve their rights, so they went to war over it.
A bunch of citizens were convinced of the idea we needed to go to war in South-East Asia to stop communism, so they went war over it.
A bunch of citizens were convinced of the idea we needed to go to war in the middle east over WMD and an imminent threat, so the went to war over it.
A bunch of citizens were convinced of the idea that their liberty was being taken away from them so they went to war, sorta, over it.
Maybe an oversimplification but is history repeating itself?

Now as her career goes down in flames, Cheney has written an op-ed for The Washington Post urging her fellow Republicans not to abandon democracy.

Not that anyone's noticed but Democracy doesn't seem to be working for them.

In broad outline, repeating. When people have fears and insecurities, as in modern states with economies getting d adverse and demographics changing, people become primed for tribalism and war. Demagogues amplify the fears and finger out-groups as enemies. It's happened many places and times.
