"National Guard troops ambushed at gunpoint while transporting coronavirus vaccine, police say."
'Ambushed' an inappropriate scare word in this headline. Shame on the Washington Post. An ambush implies planning and organization, generally by a group. This was an assault by one lone nut, and he wasn't upset about the vaccine anyway, he had some paranoid fantasy that the troops were kidnapping somebody.

"None of the soldiers was armed, Williams said, which is typical for domestic responses, such as coronavirus-related missions."
What the heck, that's ridiculous!

The army is very into gun control. Guns and ammo kept locked up, stateside. Only security guards routinely carry.

Trump stands for making America great again. And his critics stand for the opposite.

Capitol riot suspect wore 'I Was There' shirt when arrested
The shirt had a photograph of Donald Trump, and it said “Take America Back” and “I Was There, Washington D.C., January 6, 2021,” prosecutors say.

They really don't get any dumber than Trumpkins.

I'm still waiting for one of you slogan parroting balloon heads to define what you mean by "Great". What horrid parts of Americas past do you plan on bringing back?

Yep. All weapons must remain locked up in the base armory when not in authorized use, including those owned by anyone living on base. I had a roommate in the barracks who owned several guns. We had to check them out to go shooting.
The military has strict gun control.

Not only stateside. When I lived in Fulda, Germany (the place where WWIII was projected to start) from '78-'81, soldiers from the 11th ACR who patrolled the East German border had to keep their ammo in a locked and sealed box. If anyone came back from border patrol with the seal broken, they were in a world of shit.
