I'm baffled why so many Repubs are Trumpkins since it's so obvious that Trump is a scumbag.

My wife posed the same question to me this morning when I casually mentioned that a I do know a few people well who are Trumpers. My response was that they have fallen into the habit of listening to Faux News exclusively and at some point cannot distinguish truth from fiction. Once you take Trump and politics out, they are really decent folks but there is that one screw crross threaded. Quite sad actually because there is no turning around for them.

To what extent, that Trump is the only major politician who talk the talk on China, the rust belt and the southern border has anything to do with the described attitude?
Come on, man.

Trump is finally learning that being president was a huge mistake -- here's why

"Four and a half years later, here we are as Trump, like some blood-sucking roundworm, is still trying to suck as much life as he can out of the host body while he still can, with a $421 million loan bill coming due and the Manhattan district attorney breathing down his neck," he wrote. "He's about to come face-to-face with a fact that I suspect, deep down, he's known all along—which is why he was bragging to Ailes that he was delighted to lose: that winning the presidency would destroy him."

Even Trump’s Defense Secretary During the Capitol Riot Blames Him for Inciting It
Former Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller told VICE on Showtime he believes Trump’s speech caused the violent mob to attack the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

Yes, it's called TREASON. When will he be punished for it!?

Respectfully, you should look into more and better sources for your 'news'.
Fox and their despicable ilk doesn't cut it.

Faux was not the only outlet that gave Trump a huge platform. It was thought that Hillary would easily crush him and so he was given a big mike by many outlets.
Additionally, a lot of them made good money off this new entertaining phenomenon.
His message was mainly, China, Rustbelt, and the southern border.
Those issues resonated with a significant section of the population and still do today.
BTW Biden has drastically changed his public view on China.
