The very same elite who go on Faux "News" constantly to rail against the "liberal" elite.

Having grown up in a partially Republican family, my maternal uncle and subsequently his only son, were both once chairmen of the Trumbull County Ohio GOP.....I can tell you this sounds about right. Wealth-worshipping and elitist to the N'th degree. I even recall my mother having a conversation with her brother about the "excellent breeding" of a mutual friend.

(My Dad was easily described as an FDR/JFK Democrat, yet quite Conservative in his personal affairs. Decent, hardworking guy who supported unions and civil rights efforts. It made for interesting arguments at the dinner table.)

Bottom line; I loved both my mother and my uncle. But, they did have some serious s**t with them. My mother always went on about hard work and how we would've "...had so much more if your father had some ambition.". I recall her never working more than a few months at a time at various low wage jobs. I remember Dad working a full time job in a metal stamping plant, a part-time job at a local gas station and painting homes on the weekends. He did that for years and yet the Republican woman insisted he was the lazy one...........

Nah, Trump loves his name in neon and print, so TrumParty fits his image. He is till smarting over Obama's name on his signature healthcare plan and why he wanted to kill it so bad; not for policy change like the Repubs, but just for his hatred of Obama.

I am certain he will somehow incorporate America First and Patriot into their their marketing and messaging. Besides his name is toxic now for branding but for his party, its perfect.

And his rallies will be called Rush.

Today, I watched as a Democratic president delivered heartfelt address regarding the loss of over 500,000 Americans and ordered flags to be lowered to half mast in their honor.

Meanwhile, across the aisle, Republicans called on their constituents to fly their flags at half mast in honor of.............

RUSH LIMBAUGH, a vile man who for many years, dogmatically questioned the scientific link between his cigars and the lung cancer that ultimately killed him.

Can you see his echo in his party today?

They'll argue against science and reason until it destroys them.

I intend to look on with casual indifference as to the fate of the Republican Party and pray they don't take the rest of us with them.
