This was cutting Trump out of the chain of command. The Commander in Chief is supposed to decide that unless he delegates.

Heather Clark Richardson says Trump's out in two days max. If the votes are there, he can be impeached really fast, he could be impeached tonight. 25th amendment also possible, though it's a bit more complex, will either need the cabinet on board, or appoint a 'body' to declare Trump unfit. But either way, he can be ousted, and I believe the will to do that will now exist. No one will want to take his orders any more, no one will want his finger on the nuclear trigger now. He will be told quit or you're fired, like Nixon was. he'll probably quit.
