Why have Trump's judicial appointments failed him?

In the mental health business Trump is what some of us might call purely transactional. His personal relationships, his acquaintances, his business interactions, are all transactional. He has no ability to process a friendship or an intimate relationship, or even a friendly chat with a neighbor as a normal human being might. It's all about making sure that you always get more than you have to give for Donald. Typically he's in a position to leverage pretty much anybody onto bankruptcy, if neccessary.

So...he appoints Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett to the Supreme Court. How does a sociopathic grifter see this? "I just made your careers. You are at the pinnacle because of me. You owe me everything." And he thinks its gonna be a transaction just like with a different Don...Don Corleone, "Some day, I will call upon you to do a service for me." Because you're mine now and you're fucked.

What Donald doesn't realize is that he's way out of his league. This is the Supreme Court of the United States, not some fucking caterer, plumbing contractor, or piano dealer.

Donald's stomach acids are eating through his shoes, but it's not with Brian Kemp or Raffensperger, Biden or even with McConnell...its with Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett.

The grifters always end up overplaying their scam.

Great stuff, Ike!

Another little issue (at least up to now)--Trump has only trafficked in fantasy violence. Don Corleone enforced his 'you're mine now' belief very convincingly. People that Trump can't fire or ruin, like supreme court justices, feel a lot more free to defy him. A grifter may fantasize that he's a mob boss, but he isn't.

No actual mob boss would be fool enough to threaten a supreme court justice.

Well, yes don Corelone would not want thousands of FBI agents on his ass.
