Here's a 40 min movie adaptation, the audio book is over two hours long.

I'll watch the movie, let you know what I think.

BA HAH HA

That's a great little movie, don't watch it if you ever intend to read the book.

I've read enough Twain for my lifetime, IMHO, including his autobiography.

I did not read Hadleyburg.

Funny stuff, though.

It was high school when I read it. Didn't recall it being spun out that long. Maybe they gave us an abridged version. Saw a movie adaptation too, probably the one you found. It was well done.

We're going to have a bunch of other stuff to worry about next.
Same old diversionary tactic. Do folks ever wonder why there are and have been BLM protests around the globe? As long as there is police brutality against Blacks there will always be a call of BLM.

Police culture is corrupt and they suck collectively.

But if we don't break the law, they'll leave us alone.

You have been very lucky my friend.

The police will always be a place for those who enjoy asserting power over others. As long as they have the shield of immunity and the thinking " if they had only not broke the law"

The things I say are not universal.

If Rickey lived where I lived, he would not be targeted for being black. It just doesn't happen. Getting a job on the police force might be a different story. We have only one black cop in the entire county.

But the cops aren't the KKK, they don't even act like the KKK.

I've been in jail twice.

Cuff and stuff at least two other times without going to jail.

Two other times, I was harassed by psycho cops and thought they were going to kill me, without going to jail.

I come from a 'trailer trash' back ground.

Rickey probably has a higher standard of living than I do. Lots of black people do.

I live in racially mixed work class neighborhood, I care about my black neighbors a great deal (with one exception).

The flashpoints for the BLM don't work for me. I wish the protests would stop, they're not going to achieve equality. Only more violence.
