'There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

The blue wave keeps growing
https://www.axios.com/the-blue-wave-...6fe19a1cf.html
Quote:
With 102 days until Election Day, the blue wave threatening to swamp President* Trump's re-election chances keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Why it matters: We all know that anything can happen. But right now, every measurable trend is going against Trump — and with each day that passes, it gets increasingly harder for him to claw his way back.
The Cook Political Report on Friday flipped Florida from "toss-up" to "leans Democratic," with national editor Amy Walter citing the state's spiraling coronavirus outbreak.
That follows a Quinnipiac poll on Thursday that showed Joe Biden leading by 13 points in the Sunshine State. For context, Trump led Hillary Clinton by 3 points in the same poll in mid-July 2016.
Our thought bubble, from Axios White House editor Margaret Talev: Trump's re-election path has to go through Florida.
Without it, he's done.
The tsunami flows down-ballot: Charlie Cook and his team now like Democrats' chances to reclaim the Senate, with Cook's Senate editor Jessica Taylor shifting races in Arizona, Georgia and Iowa in their favor this week.
Cook also moved 20 House races toward Democrats.
Dave Wasserman, its House editor, said he couldn't recall a similarly sized shift for one party.
The big picture: Trump's net approval rating (-15) has remained remarkably consistent throughout his presidency, highlighting the difficulty he faces in trying to quickly turn around public opinion.
CNN's Harry Enten noted morning that, since 1940, incumbent presidents who were re-elected had an average net approval rating of +23.
Those who lost had an average net approval rating of -14.
The bottom line: The pandemic isn't going anywhere. And no matter what the president* wants, it's going to define everything from here on out.

Orange Shitstain and his enablers are desperate, and will do many illegal acts out of desperation.
Moscow Mitch will delay the pandemic relief bill, knowing full well that millions of renters will be evicted before November, greatly reducing the chance they'll be able to vote. Donny and Billy will greatly expand their gestapo forces in Democrat cities, again hoping to suppress voting. Disgusting Repube senators will open fake "investigations" against Biden and other Dems with help from Russia. The list will get longer and longer the more desperate they get.

Fear for the country right now. We know they are willing to and extremely capable of cheating to win. Use courts to decide elections. By any means to gain the end they want.

How to Lose a Swing State
Arizona is moving left. But the state GOP chair, Kelli Ward, is doubling down on Trumpism.

One might think that, in its moment of peril, the Arizona GOP would attempt to win over moderates. Yet the person charged with shepherding the party to victory in this most crucial moment is the state GOP chairperson Kelli Ward, a pro-Trump zealot with a soft spot for conspiracy theories, a woman who is most famous for her failed primary challenge to Republican Senator John McCain in 2016. Just as polls show Arizonans—especially those in the suburbs—souring on Trump, the state party has veered sharply to the right.

Repubes no longer have the ability to think. They're consumed with the Cult of Orange.

Are the trump supporters the only ones trying to use the courts? What has happened over the last 3 years?

The courts, with the Supreme Court being the final arbiter, are the last recourse for settling disputes other than revolution.
Disregarding this system was intended not to be taken lightly.

The Republican Party/GOP are the ones trying to use the courts to their ends. That's who Oerets was writing about.
