Missed the point. If a person tests positive for COVID, and dies, I will bet you 99 times out of a hundred that COVID contributed mightily to the death. So some takes-longer-costs more way of counting to exclude that 1% is not worth it. In fact it would be worse because it would delay reporting.

My doubt is the statistics are inflated.

In the video the official says "even if you die from a clear alternate cause it is still listed as a covid death".

I have never said covid is fake, people do die from it. The only thing I have said is that the statistics are being inflated.

As of July 14 here are CDC estimates of icu beds filled.

That’s really not much of a point. Just another right winger trying to diminish the scourge of COVID that has now gripped many parts of the nation to the point that ICU beds are full. Even if it is “inflated”, there are still tens of thousands dying from it and tens of thousands more getting seriously ill, many with long-term consequences. Who knows where we could begin fighting it if we had a competent president who had taken it seriously from the beginning.
