DE-ni-al:
No longer just a river in Egypt.
Those funny figures from the CDC. I guess those people filling up the hospital ICU wards in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Arizona, etc. will be glad to know they've been the victims of false positive test results.

President Biden’s First Day
By David Brooks
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/16/o...iden-2020.html
Quote:
The first thing you’ll notice is the quiet. If Joe Biden wins this thing, there will be no disgraceful presidential tweets and no furious cable segments reacting to them on Inauguration Day.
Donald Trump himself may fume, but hated and alone. The opportunists who make up his administration will abandon him. Republicans will pretend they never heard his name. Republican politicians are not going to hang around a guy they privately hate and who publicly destroyed their majority...
But Biden is not an emblem of this coastal elite. His sensibility was nurtured by his working-class family during the postwar industrial boom of the 1950s and 1960s. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965 and missed the late 1960s culture war that divided a generation.
It’s very hard for conservatives to demonize Biden because he comes from the sort of background that Trumpian conservatives celebrate. He elides all the culture war divides. He doesn’t act superior to the “deplorables,” because his family taught him to despise status games of all sorts.
|
As usual, it's the conservative intellectuals who write best about the complete and utter failure of Trumpkinism.

The entire foundation of The Orange Shitstain's appeal in 2016 has been swept away
By Michael Gerson
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...f38_story.html
Quote:
Like any elected* president*, he won by shaping a narrative that fit the public mood. In this effort, Trump and his allies made three successful arguments:
• Things can’t get any worse. According to Trump, the United States was a “third-world country” and a “dumping ground for everyone else’s problems.” “For those suffering and hurting, I say: Give Donald J. Trump a chance. I will fix it. What do you have to lose?”
• Governing is actually easy. In Trump’s view, politicians had failed because they were invariably “clowns” and “stupid.” America could be turned around by an inexperienced outsider without much difficulty.
• Moral leadership doesn’t really matter. “We’re not electing a pastor in chief,” said Jerry Falwell Jr. Many values voters put their entire emphasis on policy and judicial appointments, not on presidential character.
None of these propositions that helped elect Trump in 2016 can be credibly maintained in 2020. The entire foundation of the president*’s previous appeal has been swept away.

I've rescued America once and I can do it again. A genius outsider like me is your only hope.
Morals? Donny's been appointed by God and as such is automatically forgiven for everything. Besides, gotta get. Roe v. Wade repealed.
One facet of his appeal hasn't disappeared. "We love our Orange Jeezus because he hates the same people we hate.".

Well I won't be part of that crowd since I don't entirely believe the CDC numbers to begin with. But hey im just an illogical trumpkin huh? I think politicians are already trying to use the virus to their advantage.

Procop explained that there are two reasons for why a false positive case can occur. The first is when there are any cross-reacting substances. If a person is infected with another type of coronavirus, their antibodies can make them look like they have positive Covid-19 antibodies, resulting in a false positive test result.

Not once have I said that covid isn't real. People do die from it, never denied that.
I don't have a problem with people who want to wear masks and I wear a mask in places that require it. Really the biggest problem I have with masks is how someone can put on an almost see through scarf and that works for a mask but doesn't properly do what it's supposed to, even surgical masks don't properly do it but that's just "ignorance thats ok?" When I see places or states requiring proper masks not just some thin cloth, and when groups of protester are sent away since their not all wearing masks then maybe I'll think different.
As far as being a damn fool am I a fool cause I don't believe the numbers or am I a fool cause I think that politicians are using covid to their advantage already? Oh wait I get it I'm a fool cause I'll vote for trump. Thanks I get it.
