My son just read me an interesting Twitter post:
"We've been building ground zeroes near Iraqi mosques nonstop since 2003. Turnabout is fair play."

I'd like to think I fine tuned his irony receptors.

Reality?
If we believe in America and not Amerikka, we need to stand by our Constitutional principles.

John, we agree!
Anyone remember when the arabs tried to buy into a US port? That was disgraceful too.

What was disgraceful? Their attempt to invest in the port or our reaction to it? I think our reaction was far more disgraceful.

It seems that a right-wing blogger is assisted by Murdoch (NYPost and Fox News) in manufacturing this outrage.
If we as a nation allow the wingnut blogosphere and Murdoch to set public policy by manufacturing outrage, we're in a world of hurt. Murdoch and Fox are a much greater threat to America than this Imam and his cultural center.

I find it ironic that the only people I know that listen to these folks are Democrats, who then are outraged
The port, our reaction to it. How can we bring these folks into the realm of civilized nations if we won't share it with them?
