Then why did Kushner, Junior, Sessions, Flynn and possibly Pence all lie about their dealings with Russia?
Trump of course lives to lie, so best ignored.

The Trump Tower meeting, Junior's running dialogue with Assange as well as KT McFarland's email help paint a picture to those who wish to see it.

It is a little amusing the contortions the left is going through trying to explain how in the hell they could have lost to Donald Trump other than just having a fucked up candidate.
I love it.

Of course you love it, zero. It easily explains away that your party is in bed treasonously with our longstanding geo-political foes, the Russians.

Actually, the contortions are by you and yours trying to look past the myriad lies and sordid evidence associated with Trump and Russia. Trump has publicly proclaimed many times that nobody on his campaign spoke with Russians. Nine people did and lied about it.

Trump lawyer John Dowd said -
"The President cannot obstruct justice because he is the chief law enforcement officer under [the Constitution's Article II] and has every right to express his view of any case."
It seems to me that this represents a tacit admission of obstruction of justice in the same vein as "Even if he did collude, collusion isn't a crime" is an admission of "collusion."
Trump's legal team is clearly setting the stage to say the president cannot be charged with any of the core crimes discussed in the Russia probe: collusion and obstruction. Presumably, you wouldn't preemptively make these arguments unless you felt there was a chance charges are coming.

I am the chief driving officer of my car, but I am still responsible for how I drive it. Saying Trump is the chief law enforcement officer does not imply he is immune and unaccountable for how he does it.

It's seems to me your argument is circular.
Regarding the bolded text. With the levels of paranoia Trump displays this would be true regardless of what he actually did or didn't do making this a fan the fire presumption.
