K.T. McFarland, former Deputy National Security Advisor and now nominee for Ambassador to Singapore, said in an email to her administration colleagues with regard to Obama's sanctions on Russia for election tinkering:

“If there is a tit-for-tat escalation Trump will have difficulty improving relations with Russia, which has just thrown U.S.A. election to him.”

And is isn't yet clear that what he said was untrue, just premature. It's pretty clear, however, that nearly everyone in Trump's inner circle had plenty of contact with Russians. It ain't much of a leap to think that Trump knew about it, considering his love affair with Putin and all the behind-the-scenes stuff from Junior, Kushner, Page, Manafort, Papadapolous, Stone, etc. and the Russians. Ross will likely be proven correct, he just got out over his skis.

Compare their treatment of Brian Ross to Fox's treatment of Hannity with his constant rumor-mongering about Seth Rich's murder. Flynn and his son's tweets and retweets helped get my local pizza joint shot up by a right-wing crazy. With all the lying in and around Trumpworld, it's hard to discern if anything true is coming out of the White House (or Fox News). Fuck 'em and the horse they rode in on.

It's called Denial and here is how it works.
Quote:
The choice to refuse reality, then, is unconscious as well. Refusal to admit to or accept a truth or fact differs from denial in that the individual recognizes or is conscious of the existence of the truth or fact but consciously refuses to accept it as such.

People like Limbaugh and Hannity perpetrate this effectively within their audience and Trump's base stays mesmerized.
How is repeal Obamacare good for them?
And now the tax cuts which in turn is going to slash safety net programs in the very near future?

I think the Right has tapped into hate and envy along with race to formulate this current cocktail. The fact I will not live to see all of the damage done is of little consequence. For I have sons and grandsons who will be.

If that last clause were sarcastic, she wouldn't be concerned about a tit-for-tat with the Russians. Nice try.
