Just how far back do you want to go to be in that golden age? Romanticized only in your mind when you can try and build one now. Using a selective memory to only see what you want. The country they want to go back to killed, subjugated and stole from a race to gain access to the country then another to do the heavy lifting. Not anything to be proud of IMO!

You do realize that most cultures had slaves going back to antiquity, including blacks in Africa, American Indians, and MesoAmericans.

This is not a defense or an attack just a fact for context.

There is still slavery lurking around, but Americans pretty much stopped it .
