Lovely people, eh? I'm sure that when they say "better" it means worse for the average American and better for Chuck and Dave's bottom line.

It already cuts all the taxes. What more--they just want to stamp out all vestiges of making health care available to those making low-wages or not-working? Such non-valuable people should die?
I really think that's it.

Bullshit Don. I have been around the same community forever. I have yet to see anybody die because they couldn't get healthcare.
A good friend of mine had two surgeries at Duke University for pancreatic cancer. He didn't have any insurance.
Cone Health which controls everything in Greensboro has a big sign in their ER that says they will treat anybody regardless of their ability to pay, and it has been there ever since the Cones built the hospital in 1953.
The preventative panacea that Obamacare was supposed to start didn't work because those with the insurance couldn't or wouldn't pay the copays.
Nobody is one bit healthier or better off than they were before that bullshit began. Maybe the insurance companies.

What you have yet to see is your problem. You could see plenty, if you cared to look.
Raul Labrador's claim that no one dies from lack of health care access: Pants on Fire
I can add family history to the studies cited above: my brother-in-law, who was uninsured at the time, died due to sepsis from an infected amputation wound. Surgery was needed, and he was never told he couldn't have it. It just kept getting rescheduled into the future....

Problem is, they don't care to look. Trump supporters are among the lowest educated in the nation, and don't read. They listen to the venom spewed on Fox "News", and proudly call themselves "Dittoheads". They're incapable of independent thought, which makes them perfect little Republican voters.

Watching Kellyanne flat out lie on ABC This Week, despite being shown clips of Trump campaign promises. Amazing. She has zero credibility. Why do they allow her on the Sunday morning news shows?

One thing that both the ACA and whatever it gets morphed into lack is a spousal coverage clause. The only cost cap in effect is that for a "minimum" plan (which is pretty much equivalent to no insurance) to be affordable, it must be less than just under 10% of the employees gross wage. They can still charge whatever they want for spousal coverage, which is often well over 10%, and can make a family plan still cost over half the worker's take home pay. There is no subsidy available to anyone in the family as long as the worker can be covered affordably. The ACA really hasn't done much to make insurance affordable IMO.

It's going to cost a whole lot more money when the uninsured show up in emergency rooms for basic primary care and hospitals cannot legally turn them away.
Being shortsighted seems to be a characteristic of those crafting this health bill.
