Trump just spent $69 MILLION to obliterate one airport. That is not the wisest of military decisions in the ongoing Syrian quagmire.

What a shallow gesture, after trying to ban Syrian refugees from entering the country. He doesn't give a shit about the people gassed, he's paying back his campaign donors.

This attack on Syria is probably to deflect attention away from his Russia connection.
It will have the staying power of a week at best while emboldening the terrorists. And the Russia investigation will continue, just the noise will be muted for a few days.

Yup.
Trump...what an asshole. He and his republican bastards are working feverishly to throw americans off health insurance and cut programs aimed at helping the poor while he pretends to be concerned about the welfare of the Syrians. Republicans don't give a shit about poor people much less poor foreigners.
This is all an expensive deflection, but what does trump care about wasting tax dollars. He doesn't pay taxes.....

I would prefer to think that this was not a showboat deflection, but it's hard to believe the idiot in chief on much of anything, given his cavelier relationship with veracity.

And with the corrected number of Tomahawks, the price tag is now just under $84 million.

If this was truly a calculated response, he should have consulted the congress, just like his predecessor President Obama did. There was really no need for a quick strike and the fact it was makes it look very suspicious. In fact I am having a hard time believing otherwise. The disastrous attack on Iraq which eventually gave rise to ISIS should have been a warning that it is not worth expense of lobbing missiles anywhere in the middle east.
IIRC an ISIS spokesman called Trump an idiot earlier this week and this was Trumps way of saying FU.

A mere pittance in the grand scheme of empire.
