And exactly what does this have to do with Europe carrying its own weight in our alliance against the Russians? Time for Europe to take care of its own backyard.

How is American military might in Europe going to prevent Russia from interfering with our elections? Didn't stop them in 2016.

Nobody is walking away. We would like the Europeans to take on leadership and bear more of the expense.

Look this was all settled in NATO and the U.S. must have agreed, the smaller NATO countries and the U.S. have agreed on a timeline for them to reach the 2% figure. That we are at 3% or above is simply our MIC ensuring their profits and that is why we overspend on defense. It has nowt to do with protecting the EU.

Now, Trump is personally attending the NATO summit. That ought to smooth things over.

America's most embarrassing clown attending NATO huh?

Well, our credibility was already in the toilet anyway.

Germany’s faith in the US has taken a nosedive since the election of Donald Trump with the country viewing their longtime ally as trustworthy as Russia, a new poll has found.

Just 22 per cent of respondents trusted the US under its new leader – compared with 59 per cent just before the November election.

OK! The Russia noise is a ruse to feed the MIC.

Conventional war fare terms.

Russia GDP about that of Italy.
Russia 145 million population.

Conventionally the Eu can easily contain/repel Russia...they do not need the US.

All they need is US nuclear clout.

However some are also trying to hustle the US. The presence of US soldiers and base helps the local economy.

Rex Tillerson: 'I didn't want this job … my wife told me I'm supposed to do this'
Quote:
“I didn’t want this job. I didn’t seek this job,” Tillerson told the Independent Journal Review (IJR), in an interview conducted on his official plane during the three-nation Asia trip. “My wife told me I’m supposed to do this.”
Now we know why he does not want to go, he is a reluctant SOS. Wonder how DT is going to react to this, probably claim that Tillerson begged him for the job.
