Simpson-Bolwes was just a name to throw out to that audience. It's a 2010 plan that was obsolete the day it was issued.

I looked at it, there's some stuff I like and some I don't, as far as ideas for the future. Anyway, it was just a policy-symbol-thing to wave at those guys. Approving the 'freamwork' of Simpson-Bolwes is really pretty vague and meaningless.

That's nothing new.

Remember, I'm a retired FDOT employee.

We've been building more and more toll roads in Florida for decades.

The problem is Americans want cheap gas.

Plus we move everything by heavy truck, which beats the shit out of a roadways surface to the tune of one heavy truck equals 400 cars.

As a result we don't even collect enough from gas taxes to maintain our system, let alone add any new capacity.

We really need to go to the European model which is tax the shit out of gas and provide plenty of public transit, especially rail. But that's not gonna happen, so get used to paying tolls.

Of course it was. It was a signal to them that she was willing to cut entitlement programs. A signal she gave them in order to keep those big campaign donations flowing in.

And what was really telling was when she said that politicians had to have two positions. One for their donors and another for the unwashed masses that their donors want to screw.

Did you know that Trump spent roughly half of what Hillary did and he still won?

I wonder if that has ever happened before in a US Presidential race, at least in relatively modern history?
