“Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won.” – President Obama to House Republican Whip Eric Cantor, January 23, 2009.

I'm ashamed to admit that Bannon, like me and my two sons, are Virginia Tech Hokies.
Interesting article about Bannon:

Trump looks like he is not going to dump him. The real danger is that they do a big infrastructure bill that does work...and it legitimizes Bannon and the vile racism he rode to prominence on. That is the real threat. If I was Schumer it would be filibuster city until Bannon is flushed down the toilet.

I am praying for impeachment. But an America who elects him may not be upset by conflicts of interest, nepotism, incompetence, etc,

Yes, this is true. But, karma is a bitch and the GOP has spent the last eight years racking up a mountain of it. Then, you elected the guy with endorsements from every "Advocate of White People" in the country. Now, this guy is appointing them to his cabinet..........

Buckle your seat this turbulent flight hasn't even started yet.

Who including minorities think they are better off than they were 8 years ago ?

Not any that I know of and this is basically a black community I live in, the school is about 60% minority and I'm with them every day.

Sure, they have reservations about Trump.

But, if the economy improves he will be fine.

If not, it will be four and out. Sort of how it works.

I would disagree. Eight years ago was the "crash of 2008". We as a country weathered it. Even those of us who escaped the layoffs, the foreclosures and bankruptcies are doing better than we were then. I am not sure if I know anyone who doesn't think they are better now than 8 years ago.

Deregulation is going to do what to prevent another savings and loan or morguage loan crash and burn? "Creative financing"?

My point is that efforts to apply regulatory limits to prevent risky transactions involving 3rd party funds and property, ours, are consistently opposed by Wall Street and it's Conservative Republican support.
WE got screwed by THEIR "creative financing" while they made a killing off of our losses. It takes a long time for the losers, us, to recover from their self serving schemes.
It doesn't take much to figure out the winners and losers, and why it happens.

Another way to look at that is that through the Clinton and Bush administrations there was government manipulation because they wanted everybody to own their own home. A noble idea really.
But, the traditional methods of financing mortgages would not carry that load . The requirements were too strict and traditional mortgage underwriters didn't want the risk.

So, this was driven by government, Community Reinvestment Act, that type thing.

Talking about losers, AIG stockholders lost 90% of their money.
It's a little shallow to blame all of this on the banks.
