I was definitely not fooled, but enough were taken in to send us hurtling backward into the darkness.

I will wager that more than half of Trump voters don't even know there was a band called 'The Who.'

Lack of historical knowledge, both pop and real, is a great reason why history sort of repeats. Though WWIII will be different in important ways....

It is like all those young voters choosing Johnson because Hillary was not cool.

Guess what Johnson will never pass tuition free college. At least Hillary would have been able to sign it if came to her desk one day.

Trump was new on the political scene and sold himself effectively; selling Hillary was like selling a day old bread. Blaming the voters is not going to help, understanding why is the key.

Democrats have a lot of young leaders in the wings, Republicans not that many. Maybe our young leaders can reach out better to the young voters, but for that to happen, the Pelosi's and the Reid's need to vacate the scene.

By and large the cities are not where it's at. And some of them are Sanctuary Cities.

Many of these are probably the same people that were outraged when Trump said he might not accept the results of the election. "They point their crooked little fingers at everybody else. Spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves."

Excellent point and the premature anointing of Hillary discouraged them from running. One might say prevented. Bernie was allowed to challenge her because he was perceived as not having a chance. He surprised them and they didn't learn, which hurt them against Trump.
