Little kid to old man: Grandpa, do you think we'll ever have a woman president?

Old man scoffing: Sure, kid. When the Indians or the Cubs win the World Series.

Lakoff is a cognitive scientist at UC Berkely. He's got a simple model for conceptualizing where conservatives and liberals are coming from, and combines that with other observations of cognitive science to distill some handy tips.

Most of the piece is a fairly in-depth analysis of 'how Trump has been doing it,' in cognitive terms. But he finally has some suggestions for campaigning against him. Like me, he feels Hillary needed to go positive, instead of trying to disqualify Trump with negativity. But he says the content of the positive message needed to be the progressive values themselves. What values? Lakoff lists some near the end of this: " Empathy, devotion, love, pride in our country’s values, public resources to create freedoms. And adulthood."

I do recognize that Hillary's 'Stronger together' slogan is absolutely along the suggested lines, but the fact is, Hillary isn't fluent in values, she talks wonk.
"Values" has become a code word, like "family", associated with religious right / white supremacy types.

Ime, folks who support Trump and oppose Hillz "know everything" about her, and nothing about him that didn't come from him.

The Man Hating Feminazi's lead is down to 1.7% now!

Keep the pressure up Comey and Assange!

If the Bernie people and the Trump people unite we can defeat our common enemy!

Then we can fight it out between us.

College educated white women support HRC by an overwhelming margin.

"THE BIG IDEA: One in five voters in 2012 were college-educated white women. Mitt Romney won them by 6 points, according to exit polls.
Our fresh Washington Post-ABC News Tracking Poll, which has Hillary Clinton ahead by just 2 points among all likely voters nationally, finds that Donald Trump is losing college-educated white women by 27 points.

If the Republican nominee was anywhere close to Romney’s 52 percent support level among this traditionally Republican-leaning constituency, he would likely win the election. But drilling into the crosstabs of our polling and reviewing credible, state-level data demonstrates how highly unlikely it is that this constituency will waver in the final days. It is one of the reasons that, even though the race has tightened pretty dramatically, Clinton retains a significant structural advantage." WaPo

People generally believe what they want to believe, facts are manipulated to fit one's belief system. So why criticize one group over the other? Hardcore supporters of the two major parties equal in number and both are convinced that their candidate is golden whereas the other is a horse's ass.

Where was the collective wisdom when time came to chose the first ever woman president? What 'facts' were used to select her as the one and only? For that matter, how fact based are the H--> devotees here? It's HRS or a hater tag if one has a contrary opinion. The biggest threat now is not the FBI since that is a known issue, but the drip drip from Assange over TCF.

The Donald's horse's ass is certainly a bit bigger though.

I would insist that the tag requires more than what you blandly describe as a 'contrary opinion.'
