Right wingers aren't good at humor, Dennis Miller being proof of that particular deficiency.

No, I'm not humor impaired. I got a chuckle. I'm arguing he's not a great satirist. A great satirist would have picked a subject in which his critique was defensible.

08/03/16 05:21 AM EDT In recent days, however, Trump has struck a far milder tone. He now says he might recognize Crimea as Russian territory and lift punitive U.S. sanctions against Russia. The alternative, he warned on Monday, could be World War III.

While the reason for his shift is not clear, Trump's more conciliatory words — which contradict his own party's official platform — follow his recent association with several people sympathetic to Russian influence in Ukraine. They include his campaign manager Paul Manafort, who has worked for Ukraine's deposed pro-Russian president, his foreign policy adviser Carter Page, and the former secretary of state and national security adviser Henry Kissinger.

KIEV, Ukraine — On a leafy side street off Independence Square in Kiev is an office used for years by Donald J. Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, when he consulted for Ukraine’s ruling political party. His furniture and personal items were still there as recently as May.

And Mr. Manafort’s presence remains elsewhere here in the capital, where government investigators examining secret records have found his name, as well as companies he sought business with, as they try to untangle a corrupt network they say was used to loot Ukrainian assets and influence elections during the administration of Mr. Manafort’s main client, former President Viktor F. Yanukovych.

Handwritten ledgers show $12.7 million in undisclosed cash payments designated for Mr. Manafort from Mr. Yanukovych’s pro-Russian political party from 2007 to 2012, according to Ukraine’s newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Investigators assert that the disbursements were part of an illegal off-the-books system whose recipients also included election officials.

The Republicans have completely lost their marbles in this election. Their candidate is besties with a former KGB agent and his campaign manager is ass deep in bribes from Putin's butt boy in the Ukraine.

Gawd, November is going to be a blowout of epic proportions. Hell, they might even lose the House in addition to the Senate.

So Clinton tries to become the American Merkel, Mr. Trump? Isn't it rather the case that you are trying to become the American Barking Monster?
