Were the people you assisted donors to your foundation? Unfortunately, I didn't have one.

Were any of these people convicted criminals?

Perhaps. I didn't check their police blotter. That said, I did interact with a number of labor bigwigs in DC who ended up being indicted or forced from office due to embezzlement.
The whole Clinton Foundation relationship is indeed shaky for a SoS. However, the 2 "smoking gun" emails didn't make a case for malfeasance IMO. They showed business as usual in both the Executive and Legislative branches. I saw such things every single day.

I'm not saying that they make the case, just that, like a long litany of other questionable acts in Clinton's resume, they look bad and warrant investigation.

Actually, having worked in the belly of the beast for so long, I don't see either of these two emails as bad or warranting investigations. There may be future revelations that do, if Putin, Assange and their ilk succeed in accessing some bad stuff in an effort to harm American through a Trump presidency. To me, this is far more important that emails showing people lobbying for jobs or meetings.

If Clinton personally helped anyone who had overriding interests that were detrimental to the US government or our country, that would not be a good thing. However, even in diplomacy, when you "help" other national interests, that is at one moment in time, just like when we had the CIA "help" Osama Bin Laden vis a vis fighting the Russkies, or the Iran Contra affair.

Diplomacy and politics are all about learning how to create and cultivate friends, and then knowing how to judge the sincerity and value of these friendships, and how to use, leverage, and influence these friendships and relationships.

These quid pro quo relationships are often best accomplished under big, dark rocks that will never see the light of day. One theory I have heard explaining Trump's reluctance to release his tax info is because he has over $100M in loans from Russian interests, and he is very eager to use some of his RNC money to reimburse himself, and then roll that money back to the Russian armbreakers.

The Russia card is really convenient.

But do the emails point to violations of the agreement she signed promising not to use her position as Secretary of State to "participate personally and substantially in any particular matter involving specific parties in which the William J. Clinton Foundation is a party or represents a party unless I am first authorized to participate"? This was the core issue raised by these emails: the use of her influence to further the interests of the Clinton Foundation, The Clinton Global Initiative or any parties connected thereto.

The State Department 'investigating' Hillary Clinton's participation in the Clinton Foundation is a whitewash and where is the credibility. She operated an unauthorized email server during her term without any oversight!

With Hillary, if there is smoke, there is a fire underneath.

With Hillary, if there is smoke, there is some RWNJ with a smoke machine.
Fixed that for you, Raj.
