Don't doubt there are plenty of competent stats analysts within the party national committee who will pound this presidential campaign failure up everyone's ass, so the leaders learn, just like Goldwater in '64, and for the Democrats, McGovern in '72.

The Republican Party hasn't been "fine" since Eisenhower was President.

The Republican establishment is just as bad as the Tea Party, maybe worse.

The Republican Party establishment gave us the Iraq War, Abu Ghraib, Waterboarding, the subprime debacle, the Wall Street meltdown and bail out, huge tax cuts for the wealthy and the resulting ballooning federal deficit.

And that's just a small sample.

My worst nightmare is that the Republican Party is able to weed out the Tea Partiers and regain credibility so that they can continue with their caustic, destructive right wing agenda.
