This isn't a rampant phenomenon, tho an international public relations disaster when it has occurred.

One is too many, obviously.
Alcohol doesn't help, and neither does the lax "boys will be boys" filtered thru macho attitude.

One would have to know statistically what the commission rate of sex crimes is for American servicemen versus the Okinawan (or Japanese) male population. If GIs commit these crimes disproportionately, then we have a (military) cultural problem. (I think that's probably the case.)

“Russia, if you’re listening I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.”

- Trump this morning soliciting cooperation from his mentor, Putin.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...b-446d95b0bc92

Not much later, Mike Pence said:

“The FBI will get to the bottom of who is behind the hacking. If it is Russia and they are interfering in our elections, I can assure you both parties and the United States government will ensure there are serious consequences."

WTF?

Pence is smarter than his boss. Way smarter. Not that I agree with anything he believes in.

Pence would be the brains of this outfit, Trump just wants the title.
And yes, that is scary if you are invested in Progressive policies like fair pay, clean water and air, pure safe food and drugs, and holding miscreants who profit from violating these standards accountable.
Want to spend instead on crony capitalism and live on a pittance in a Continental garbage pit, go TrumPence.

Trump will undoubtedly chastise Pence for his bellicosity. Wouldn't it be fun if Trump had to fire Pence before the election. Shades of Tom Eagleton.

Or maybe it's just a good cop/bad cop routine. Trump flips the lure out, Pence reels it back.

If he starts to slip in the polls to Hillary, I expect this to happen especially since he is not beholden to the mainstream GOP. This guy has always been a poor decision maker and shoots from the hip.

Hope it happens since that would help the other horrid candidate to eke out a win.
