“If, on November 8th of this year, Hillary Clinton is elected President, we will have only begun to fight,” Sanders told a packed rally in San Francisco.
Sanders acknowledged that continuing to fight for the nomination after Clinton is elected President would represent a “steep challenge,” but added, “When we started this race we were only at three per cent in the polls. Anything is possible.”
Any hopes that Sanders would soon abandon his Presidential run in the interest of Democratic Party unity were dashed in his defiant closing remarks. “Just because someone stands up there on Inauguration Day with her hand in the air and is sworn in as President, that does not mean it is over,” he said, to a standing ovation.

Bernie's not a Democrat. The DNC needed a sparring partner to prepare their fighter for the big fight and the Democratic party didn't have anyone qualified come forward. The DNC weren't expecting this passé New Dealer they brought onboard to rough up their contender and further expose her weaknesses. The Hillary bettors are whining because Bernie isn't playing the two party game.

I was married to one of those women who fought for equality - though why she wanted to settle for equality when she was obviously superior I never quite understood.

I don't understand how you could even think such a thing Merrylander.
With you being from Canada.
Bernie advocates a Candaian style health care system for the U.S.
Hillary says "No can do".
That alone should be enough for him to have earned your support.

Tom you will never get a SinglePayer system through Congress, hell even when they had a Democratic majority they could not pass the Public option of the ACA. Big Pharma will lobby it to death and no one in Congress has the cojones to fight Big Pharma.
Americans by and large are too busy patting themselves on the back about the Best Healthcare System in the world. Well I have news for you, this healthcare system let my wife die - slowly and damn painfully, probably because Medicare and CareFirst would not pay their obscene charges. Frex, she had gout in her little finger, outpatient surgery, half hour to do it, another half hour to clear the anesthesia - bill $10,000, except Medicare told him where to go. Week later his assistant removed the stitches then the speci@list looked at her finger from ten feet away, said it'd fine, another bill for $5,000. AMA will lobby is arse off against any reform.
The Canadian system is infinitely superior, ask our son. He spent ten days in the Ottawa Heart Institute (One of the world's finest) they cleared his Atrial Fibrillation problem and it did not cost him one cent.
However, as I said up front don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen here.

The above are all excellent reasons to support Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton.
And the statements below are, as Mike Karraphillis, my 9th grade football Coach used to say: "Beating yourself before the game even starts."

Simple reality Tom, God knows I would love tto see common sense prevail even though it is too late for us, but it won't happen in my lifetime.

I've had plenty of failures in my life.
Sometimes I've failed so bad, it was downright embarrassing.
But looking back on those failures, I don't regret any of them as long as I gave it my best shot. Hell, I don't even regret much the ones where I only gave it a half assed shot.
But then there are the ones where I was so afraid, that I didn't try at all.
Those are the ones that keep me awake at night.
