When they passed the amendment electing the POTUS by popular vote they neglected to abolish the Electoral College. That would be a move in the right direction. In the parliamentary system members of a party elect their leader. This person becomes the Prime Minister if that party receives the majority of votes. The Prime Minister gets to chose his/her cabinet without any of that advise & consent BS.

So the two parties sets the rules for the primaries at tax payers expense.

Six parties in California set their rules.
Dems, Libertarians and AI's allow NPP crossover voters while Greens, Repubs and P&F's don't.
Don't like it? Join the party of your choice and change the party rules.
