Perhaps we should call a convocation of Knights Errant to solve the New York State primary process which disenfranchises Independents...

And since the two corporate parties dominate our political process in toto, the US elections process is a total farce.

So, if the system is rigged and undemocratic and a farce...... I suppose there is no reason for a person to even cast a vote, eh?
So those of you complaining are going to stay home on Election Day?

Uh, no. The parties have a vested interest in putting up a candidate who best represents their policy positions and has the best chance of winning the general election. Depending upon the whims of voters who have the time, interest or inclination to vote in primaries or attend caucuses (and who thereby are on the activist fringes of both parties) will not necessarily get the parties to where they want or need to be. Trump and Sanders are both cases in point - they both appeal to the activist fringe of their respective parties, but both have little appeal among independents/moderates who decide elections.

It is just noise...a feel good noise about US Democracy.

I here Italy's a pretty nice place to live. It's definitely a nice place to visit, TDY or otherwise.

It is. My daughter loved it there.
I gotta say that I'm more than a little bit alarmed by all the post here that are dismissive and even contemptuous of concerns about the massive voter disenfranchisement we've been experiencing here. Tom Paine called the vote "the beating heart of democracy" and he wasn't wrong.
