Bernie won those. If they were in the Confederacy it'll surprise a lot of people since none had been admitted to the Union yet.

It is not meaningless if it convinces a Bernie Bro to change to Hillary...
all politicians say this stuff when running for office.
A sub-total is meaningless because it's the total that matters and the primaries are not over. Yes, as a campaign tactic it is used all the time, any particular number is used to inflate a final projected outcome. But not being a Hillary fan, I reject it and am expected to debunk it.

Why would a person with 'Bernie Values' ever consider voting for Hillary (in a Primary where it's personal), their value systems are diametrically opposed.

That whooshing sound you're hearing is some snark flying right past your ear, brother.

Rajoo's contention is that Hillary's wins in the south weren't worth very much since they are red states that the Democratic party will lose the general election.

I'm not willing to so easily toss over these long suffering democratic voters living in the red states of the 'Old Confederacy' or elsewhere. The primaries are the only place their votes count for something until we turn them into purple/blue swing states like Florida and Virginia.

Just because I don't support Sanders doesn't mean I lack values. That sort of implication is probably why he may lose next week in New York. There is not that much space between them actually. By the way Sanders voted for the crime bill in 1994 also.

Plus it is a PRIMARY. Our long suffering friends in the South want and deserve to help a Democrat be selected for the general election. I think Rajoo is missing the point. The Democratic Party is selecting the nominee for the general election...the red or blueness shouldn't be an issue, except for the voter suppression assholes in the red states trying to game the system.

Nevertheless, it matters. You don't the general with with a candidate who's weak in states you need to win and strong in the ones they'll never carry in the general. So far, Hillary has won Iowa, Nevada, South Carolina ,Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Texas, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina and Arizona. The colors are from 2008. In 2012 North Carolina and Nevada went the other way. Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Massahusetts would vote for Bernie. North Carolina, Virginia and Florida could go Republican anyway So we don't need Hillary to win.

The term 'Bernie Values' is a play on words from Cruz and his 'New York' Values' (which he directed at Trump), so did not believe you will take it seriously. We disagree with who we support but it's not a personal issue with me.

I completely agree with you.
