No guns in the arena, Trump's campaign manager facing charges for assault, the GOP convention looks to be going to be a civilized affair. How boring!

I have to admit I'm disappointed.

I'd hoped the herd might be thinned a bit.....

There might not be any guns there but there will be plenty of crazy people there. 😉

Just remember, people kill people. Guns don't kill people.

Now you bring guns into the Rep convention, this adage will be totally debunked.

It was reported yesterday that this was definitely a hoax perpetrated by an obscure left wing group, and I must say that it was indeed brilliant. Wish the Secret Service had run this a bit longer for the sake of continuing drama.

I didn't hear that but I did wonder about it. Pretty brilliant! (I hope the news that it was a hoax doesn't get much press.)

The important question is whether the 24,000 signers knew they were participating in a hoax. My guess is not.

Also, as far as I can see, it's only being speculated that it was a hoax. So far, no firm conclusions.

This could be Republican damage control.

So, I still have hope.

I had heard early on that it was satire. While I'm sure there were some supporters who thought it was the real deal, I'm guessing most knew otherwise.
