it's more than that

we have studied and trained entities, like banks and retailers targeting our psyche daily to part us with any money we may intend to save.

Think about it, it's just not that hard to create a desire in people, place a "want" in them through manipulation.

Trust me, anyone can be "sold."

It's an immoral template. At least a philosophical case could be made.

Is someone really arguing that the New Deal was not a rousing success?

That is just insane.

And we have wall street traders working day and night to part us from our investments.

For instance, how they managed to "earn" 25 billion in bonuses last year when my managed Roth IRA barely nudged.

The we have the republican party working day and night to ensure working man wages never go up while medical and education costs beat inflation by double digits.

Social Security is not broken, it was victimized. In spite of that, it's easily fixed. Simply remove the cap on what is taxable and add a means test. No retirement age change is needed. Yes, it's this simple.

Damn right it is. And the telescreens have been teaching that morality to every child in this country for upwards of 60 years now.
