Two thoughts.

I saw Trump speak this weekend (TV) on Cuba.
Now, let me state that my view on Cuba is one of admiration for Obie. I have been for lifting the embargo and normalizing relationships since the fall of the USSR.
So... Trump starts by saying how bad and weak Obie is. I don't like hearing this and I disagree. But he never says that he is against the Cuba initiative. He was against Obie not being met at the plane by either of the Castros. He then says he would have got back on the plane and come home if it were he.
I kinda like that attitude.

Next
Israel.
Trump has not backed off the notion that in order to get a deal in the middle east he advocates a neutral position be taken by an arbiter. Hillary by contrast wants to give Isreal unconditional love. Good luck with that if you really want peace.

Score, Trump 2, Obie 0, Hillary 0.

Now I know this will inflame many but honest even if you don't agree with me my view is hardly insane as you think all Trump non condemners are.
With regard to Cuba, Trump is portraying Obama as an appeaser.

There is no neutral Middle East position.

Are you really finding this arrogant authoritarian that attractive?
On Israel, has Hillz really offered them a rubber stamped free pass to do as they please?
I think we are obligated to offer conditional support, but not to rubber stamp them unconditionally, nor should they expect us to do so.

The art of diplomacy is not to confront and we have treaty obligations with Israel. In Trump's world, these are insignificant and why the GOP, the party he professes to represent, finds him unfit to be President. If this makes him look like a hero to some, it's blind hero worship and not a rational assessment of Trump's capabilities as a future head of state.

Here is a comment I read just now, this before an AIPAC meeting that Trump is going to address.
Quote:
Still, Trump's AIPAC attendance isn't being met wholly with open arms. His policy plans on illegal immigration and temporary Muslim bans, as well as the violence exhibited at his rallies by Trump supporters, have caused some in the Jewish community concern.

"The values of our Reform Jewish Movement include equality, diversity, justice, humility, and civility," say Rabbis Rick Jacobs and Jonah Pesner.

"Thus far, Mr. Trump has conducted his campaign as if those are not his values."

Stay strong.

These lefty Trump bashers are fools.

Even if they hate the guy, they should at least be pulling for him to get the Republican nomination because he is a far better choice for the left than anyone else on that side. Jumping on the Stop Trump train now is just playing right into the hands of the haters on the Republican side who would like to stick us with Cruz instead. A far far far worse scenario IMO.

Trump will lose the reddest of the red states in the general election.

Quote:
The poll found that may well be true. Utah voters said they would reject Trump, the GOP frontrunner, whether former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is the Democratic candidate on the general election ballot.

While Clinton was only slightly ahead of Trump — 38 percent to 36 percent — Sanders, a self-declared Democratic soci@list, holds a substantial lead — 48 percent to 37 percent over the billionaire businessman and reality TV star among likely Utah voters.

But this could be a problem. Union or formerly union Democrats who have seen their jobs go overseas and their standard of living crash are buying Trump;s snake oil.

Quote:
Nearly 46,000 Pennsylvania Democrats have gone Republican since the start of 2016, twice as many as have shifted the other way, as a wild primary fight continues to upend the business of politics as usual and challenge the status quo.

Needless to say, much of this movement is being attributed to the rise of Donald Trump and the so-called "Ditch and Switch" movement, which leans on lifelong Democrats to abandon the party, register Republican and help ensure Trump's place in the November general election.

I don't see how people look at Trump as being a left-leaning or a sort of Bernie Sanders for the GOP. Somebody here is suffering from being a low-information voter.

So you prefer Cruz to Trump?

That is not his thrust.

The Israeli crowd wants a total pro Israel politician. Trump is projecting that to broker peace the arbiter cannot be such.
