In one word yes, a nonprofit perhaps but stay within the budget. Imagine a business paying bonuses from borrowed money like we with the tax cuts.

I think that is what those clowns in Michigan, Kansas and Louisiana tried.
Flint is an example of someone trying to run a state like a business.

Social Security has a future, if it can just hold out long enough. Our parents generation made copious amounts of babies to ensure they had enough worker bees to support them in their old age. Our generation, the Baby Boomers, decided it was wiser to have 2.3 babies or less, per family. Many of us, myself included, made none at all. Now, we are expecting our kids and grand kids to carry us......

See what's going on there?

Yep. Doesn't work. Government was never intended to turn a profit. Hell, government was never intended to be an appendage of business as government must sometimes make laws and regulations that the businessman would never approve of. To some degree, it HAS to be this way.

The argument is, where is that degree? Some today, seem to think government has NO role meddling in business. I think these people are fools.

You missed that part where I said spending borrowed money, or in the case of KS, LA they gave money away they did not have. Now they are flat broke.

I know Hillary has so many IOU's she has signed, she will definitely have to borrow. But then the Federal govt. can do what the states cannot.

That and wages are so low that folks arent paying into social security very much, never mind being able to put anything away for retirement.
