The powers that be in the GOP are a bunch of everything they are saying they hate about Trump. Except Trump doesn't hate the working poor, elderly and disabled. Maybe that's it.

We are a violent society, from our obsession with war to our obsession with guns..to our shitting on the less fortunate to our standing as "incarcerator of the world" to the insistence of our police forces to use killing as a first resort ......how are we in any way civilized?

It occurs to me that republicans seem to view black, Mexican, LGBT, Muslims and poor people in the same light as Nazi Germans once viewed Jewish people. We must be vigilant that it goes no further.

The point isn't that violence happens. The point is, what sort of politics are we going to have. If we're going to choose our leaders by intrigue and violence, just one other thing should happen. We should dump the title 'President,' and go with 'Emperor.'
