I never liked the guy until this run. Never watched his show, thought it asinine.

This statement perfectly exemplifies the sad silly state of our election system and why the US of A is going to fall flat on it's face. The public is too lazy, stupid, preoccupied, dumbed down, gullible....whatever, to care what kind of idiot runs the country.

What you need to understand is that he was fine with not running too. Had he not done so well he'd have removed himself quickly.

Is he a CRuz who has dreamed of being president pre grade school? No. Not at all.
Your comments about a supposed 'brain trust' around here that supposedly called you 'stupid' suggest a tinge of the sensitivities and resentments seen in many of Trump's followers. For the record, I called-out Trump as a dangerous demagogue from the beginning, and cautioned against dismissing him as certain to 'fade quickly.'

According to Ivana Trump in 1990, he was studying Hitler's speech's back then. Not grade school, but not last week either. When asked about it, response was cagey, did not include a straight denial....

Quote:
Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. Kennedy now guards a copy of My New Order in a closet at his office, as if it were a grenade. Hitler’s speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist.

“Did your cousin John give you the Hitler speeches?” I asked Trump.

Trump hesitated. “Who told you that?”

“I don’t remember,” I said.

“Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of Mein Kampf, and he’s a Jew.” (“I did give him a book about Hitler,” Marty Davis said. “But it was My New Order, Hitler’s speeches, not Mein Kampf. I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I’m not Jewish.”)

Later, Trump returned to this subject. “If I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them.”
The above from a December 2015 Vanity Fair piece drawing on their Trump profile from 1990.

The Hitler interest doesn't prove him to be a Hitler wannabe by itself, of course, but when he proceeds to ACT like a Hitler wanabe with both style and content of his campaigning, the picture becomes much clearer. If Trump does not 'really want to be President,' it's hard to figure why he's trying so hard. Add to that his penchant for claiming he will do things totally beyond the power of a President, and one can perhaps be excused for suspecting he has a different title, and set of powers, in mind....

It's not so hard to figure out. You've seen the size of his ego......

it is, it's not supposed to be... that is why it's funny.. scary to the overly serious full of themselves talking heads

in the meantime I agree with him on keeping social security as is, not running off to war, negotiating everything (while starting at extreme positions)...

Who here is against Big Pharma being treated as a drug supplier and not a campaign donor? Who? Speak up? You all are quick to knock anyone who does not throw stones at Trump.

Clue: This is the same country that elected FDR, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Ford, Ray-gun, Bush, Clinton, Obie.... We haven't fallen yet.

I never read op-ed's. I am at no loss to form my own opinion.

I understand why they are written, for the ego of the writer. Why they are read? Beats me.

(noone ducks for cover, again)
