That is a non sequitor response. Many Christian sects are evangelical, some more actively than others. So, what does it have to do with my post?

Instead of expecting common sense from forum members here, I would have expected the Pope with his litany of advisers and aides to have exercised common sense and avoided making a politically ill advised statement, or interject himself into US elections. He should have been aware of Bibi, his address to the US House and the consequences.
A typical holier than thou comment and Trump wins another round. I personally see this as an attempt by the Pope to score points with the Mexicans and a cheap shot at Trump.

No Sir...not sequitur...the interests/motives you ascribe to the pope are not his
primary ones.
His primary concern is to continue the flow of Catholics to the US whether through legal or illegal means.

I see it as the Pope was just speaking his mind and saying what others are thinking........oh, wait.... That is exactly what Trump supporters say when he insults and says controversial things.....😏

And no context...self interest relating to the Catholic population in the United States?

I'm not sure what you are asking.
Both speak with an agenda.... If that's what you mean.

This is, of course, an unanswerable question and the fact that you ask it betrays a very high degree of anti-Catholic bias.

And the real question is, does the Pope support illegal immigration?

That's just silly, Rajoo.

By bad, I was speaking specifically with regards the Pope. However at least you recognize he has an agenda. He is pushing for open borders which will benefit in the main Catholics.
He is a spiritual leader with a couched agenda and playing politics.

That is -ahem- paranoid spin IMHO. Would need evidence. Smoking guns. Objective showings that the Vatican in modern times has done anything to further such demographic schemes. I am highly dubious.

The wall around the Vatican City state is a medevial historical artifact and not related to this discussion other than as a false equivalency.

Nailed it.
