I was in a computer IT class last night so I missed the debate. This article states it plain enough...Hillary will protect Obama's legacy. Not the most exciting message but remember even "establishment Republicans" like Kasich want to repeal Obamacare. Kasich may want to keep the Medicaid expansion but he wants to get rid of the rest of it. Then we are back to square one where no is paying for the medical coverage of uninsured people.

Hillary is the only choice. For me anyway...


I don't believe Hillary is dishonest...even if she is she does not lie about reality.

I am not saying Sanders is lying...but how does he expect me to believe he will get single payer through the next Congress which will most likely be a lot like THIS Congress?

I wonder if there is a subset of voters - and how large of one - that understands that there are substantial differences between the two outsiders, but nevertheless want change -- and once they have decided on that outsider, they will vote for a Congress that will provide the capability of passing his program. For example, they will assume that if they choose Trump, he will need a Republican Congress to advance his program. Likewise, they assume that if they choose Sanders, he will need a Democratic Congress to advance his program. I.E., one way or another, once they make their choice, they are taking it the distance.

I kind of expect that i am imagining a very small subset of voters.

On the other hand, as long as Sanders is able to maintain the level of enthusiasm surrounding his campaign, he might have the better chance of hanging some strong coattails.

That was America when we were kids and younger adults. I think Obama's victory in 2012 shows that maybe coattails do not exist anymore. Plus as we have seen many Sanders supporters like Trump also. Look at the New Hampshire maps that show the precincts that Bernie and Trump wo....
seems almost identical to me.

Remember Trump supporters like him because he says what they want to hear but can't say themselves because of "political correctness". I predict that he will use sexism against Hillary and will not shy from using bigotry against Bernie should my thread title be upended.

Ask yourself this...would Americans give up the home mortgage deduction to pay for single payer? I know Bernie has not proposed this but single payer would require at least that level of sacrifice or more perhaps.

Obama entered office with a majority in both houses. The Senate went from Republican to Democratic control and, in the House, Democrats increased their majority.
