During his victory speech in New Hampshire, Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders asked supporters to donate to his campaign, causing his fundraising website to crash, and raising a quarter of a million dollars in an hour.

"I am going to New York City tonight, and tomorrow, but I’m not going to New York City to hold a fundraiser at Wall Street. Instead, I’m going to hold a fundraiser right here, right now, across America," the Vermont Senator said amid the cheers of a crowd of supporters, before asking them and viewers elsewhere in the country to go on his website and donate to his campaign.

"Berners," as some of his supporters have been dubbed, responded immediately, submerging Sanders‘ donation platform with traffic, which considerably slowed their transactions.
