I bet if more states had open primaries Hilary would be terrified. The independent vote for Sanders would likely crush her.

These polls are getting beyond meaningless and downright illogical. For instance from US News,
Quote:
A national NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday showed Clinton widening her lead nationwide over Sanders, 51%-34%. Other recent polls have shown Clinton with a narrower lead.

But in hypothetical head-to-heads in the general election, Sanders fared better against Republican Donald Trump in the NBC poll than Clinton did, though both were ahead. He led Trump by 15 points; she led Trump by 10 points.
So Clinton leads Sanders by 15% yet he can beat Trump by a wider margin? If Hillary has such a commanding lead nationally, why is she so worried that she has Bill campaigning for her in Iowa? Last I heard everyone is enamored with Bill but not with Hillary.

There is an element that thinks Hillary is better than Sanders, and thinks Trump is better than Hillary. Because of their support, Hillary beats Sanders in this poll, but they defect to Trump in the Hillary/Trump matchup.

But there is only a very much smaller set that thinks Sanders is better than Hillary, and thinks Trump is better than Sanders. Indeed, TJ may be the only member of this set.

Oh dear. Did I ascribe to you a view you never intended to express?

Probably because I'm warming up to Trump.

He could very well become my second choice for President after Bernie.

If it comes down to Trump vs. Clinton in the general, I'm not sure which way I'd go.

But not to worry.

I'm in Alabama now.

My vote in the general election is a throw away.
