Overzealousness, I suppose. It clearly wasn't authorized. Presumably, the Sanders already knew that downloads could be traced since it sounds like they were able to identify the campaign which downloaded their stuff in October.

It's 184,000 now. Holy shit!

PS: "conspiracy verbiage"? WTF?! I don't see any at all.

Overzealous?
Or overlooking protocol?

Seems to me they should have known better at that point.

They didn't think this would blow up in their face?

Or, they were hoping it would be fuel to make Clinton look bad.

I just can't buy " overzealous".

It's too early to use the word "they". So far only one staffer has been identified and he's been fired.

And I'm absolutely certain that the campaign new something like this would blow up. That's why I'm pretty sure this was unauthorized.

The only way this could make the Clinton campaign look bad would be if it were established that the Clinton campaign snagged Sanders' data in October and that the DNC knew it and did nothing. But, if this was the plan, the Sanders campaign could have done this without getting caught with their own hand in the cookie jar. And that would make them look good by comparison rather than guilty of the same thing and merely the victim of unfair treatment from the DNC.

(I think it's entirely possible that the DNC turned a blind eye to Clinton campaign misdeeds but I don't see it coming to light. Wasserman Schultz is a Clinton partisan. She was Clinton's Florida Campaign Chair in 2008.)

I my opinion.... Not too early to use the term "they".

The staffer who got fired was an unfortunate scapegoat.

I just find it hard to believe that others didn't know what was going on.

....... Just my opinion.

I think Debbie Schultz is a hottie. Does that make me a shallow person?

Hell No!

I'm pissed as Hell at her, but I'd still hit it.
