Different reasons for different people.... Sure...... But..... Do these conversations add value in our every day life or is coming here more of an escape?

Just curious. Social media is a whole new sociological venue I enjoy exploring and understanding.

I am retired and I am an indoor person. From a young age I was interested in politics especially international politics. I find being here an enjoyable way of passing some of my indoor time.

This is a political forum and thus I expect some rough and tumble in the discourse.

I believe the argument here adds value. There are in general very knowledgeable, interesting people here, some very passionate (Ike) and some with very unique perspectives (Zeke).

I expect some rough and tumble in the discourse as well. Admittedly, I am sometimes inclined to poke a stick at the wasp nest to see what kind of fury results..... But for the most part, I just like the aspect of learning more.

The sociologist in me like to consider the dynamics of the interaction.

It is social interaction and so enjoyable in itself. And i do find out new stuff and learn from others, and I get new ideas in the process of responding to people and writing out what I think.
