If we went around raping women, beheading people who don't share our beliefs, selling children into sex slavery, torturing civillians, going into towns and villages and massacring anyone who isn't a crazy Sunni Muslim, firing rockets at civilians out of schools then we can compare.

But we don't.

As bad as the US military or the IDF might be sometimes, as bad as the mistakes it makes sometimes might be. It doesn't intentionally set out to do these things.

Barbaric things on our side are done through incompetence or a few lone nutjobs. It is not policy. That is the difference.

For these people it is not just policy, it is the teachings of Islam. It is their moral duty to do these things. There's no negotiating that can be done. We just need to exterminate them like you would exterminate plague infested rodents.

I thought we should clarify the point to exclude the peaceful from being lumped with the fanatics. Same could be said for Israel and the Jews.

Not really.

How many Jews have formed themselves into a death cult and have gone around enslaving and raping women and children. Beheading anybody who isn't a Jew etc etc.

The same cannot be said of the Jews and it is pretty much anti semitic view to hold since the facts don't back up the opinion.

Absolutely. The problem in Islam is the prevalence of the premeditated barbaric behaviors. And we're not even broaching the sickening treatment of women.

You think that is a reasonable statement? You think that's what logic says is necessary? It is very emotional. It is hate speaking, and hate is hate.

I don't say be a robot, and have no reaction to atrocities. I just say be able to set the emotion aside, to give yourself more options, not less. And I say when you think human beings are vermin, think a second time. And as many more times as necessary.

Otherwise, you become less of a human yourself. Otherwise, what can you not do to them, who are, after all, vermin? Otherwise, the gate is opened to a war of not-men vs. not-men.
